Computer systems restored / updated

The staff software for our library systems is working normally again, with the exception of the Newton public catalogue, which is still in backup mode. Do contact me if you need help finding stuff.
The help screens on the self-issue machine outside the office have been updated to be more helpful.

Computing Service courses

The University's Computing Service runs numerous courses, on topics from Office applications to reference management software. See their Training Programme for further details.

Springer Materials - reminder

Don't forget that the initial trial access for Springer Materials expires on 12th July. If you've not yet tried this resource, please do so. Feedback would be welcome.

MSM Library / Moore Library

Plans moved on somewhat this morning for the future transfer of some of our stock to the Betty and Gordon Moore Library, before our move to more restricted space in the new West Cambridge building.

Holds and recalls

During the vacation, holds and recalls via the Newton catalogue are turned off for this library, to avoid recalling books borrowed by undergraduates. If you need a book which is currently on loan, please contact the library by e-mail.

Service Disruption w/b 28th June

The issue system will be down for most if not all of the week beginning 28th June. Books will still be borrowable 9am-1pm and 1:30pm-5pm.
Library catalogues should operate, but will not display the current status of each book.
